A moment ago, we located my new book, Rustling Wrens, on the upper shelf of the poetry section in the Bellevue Library! Accompanied by my nine-year old granddaughter, we had ducked into the library to warm up after a winter walk....and decided to check on the status of four copies of the book ordered by the King County Library System.
Perhaps this is what comes down--the book you will write, available in democratic spaces, awaiting the hands of a child like Maizie, who will find herself within the stanzas.

Poetry & Workshop, Oct. 28th, 1:30 to 3:30, Studio B, 4th Floor of Armory
Yesterday I drove to Seattle Center to visit Studio B. Located on the 4th floor of the Armory (formerly Food Circus), it's where you'll find me Sunday afternoon, October 28th for the Rustling Wrens Poetry Reading & Workshop. Partially supported by a King County 4 Culture award, participants will leave with poetry and make-and-take art.
Studio B is amazing--and I take it as my/our good fortune to have the opportunity to share poetry in this artsy space. Studio B is complete with a mirrored wall overlapped by dark velvet drapes. And tree limbs with a few yellow leaves to brush skylight windows slightly open to the breeze. And good accoustics with plenty of sprawl-space to spread out, explore eclectic writing implements, textured papers, stickers, twine and ribbon, etc.
Hoping you'll visit Studio B for the Rustling Wrens Poetry Reading & Workshop on Sunday, the 28th where you'll also meet poet Katy Ellis who'll help us weave intervals of poetry with time to play and share.
