Poetry & Workshop, Oct. 28th, 1:30 to 3:30, Studio B, 4th Floor of Armory

Yesterday I drove to Seattle Center to visit Studio B.  Located on the 4th floor of the Armory (formerly Food Circus), it's where you'll find me Sunday afternoon, October 28th for the Rustling Wrens Poetry Reading & Workshop.  Partially supported by a King County 4 Culture award, participants will leave with poetry and make-and-take art.

Studio B is amazing--and I take it as my/our good fortune to have the opportunity to share poetry in this artsy space.  Studio B is complete with a mirrored wall overlapped by dark velvet drapes.  And tree limbs with a few yellow leaves to brush skylight windows slightly open to the breeze.  And good accoustics with plenty of sprawl-space to spread out, explore eclectic writing implements, textured papers, stickers, twine and ribbon, etc.

Hoping you'll visit Studio B for the Rustling Wrens Poetry Reading & Workshop on Sunday, the 28th where you'll also meet poet Katy Ellis who'll help us weave intervals of poetry with time to play and share.

FOR SALE--Rustling Wrens

Yes! It is exciting to find the threads come together at last.  Publishing a first book triggers a list of decisions.  Things I'd taken for granted as I browsed racks in dusty bookstores.  The questions I'd never considered--how to design a cover, who to thank?  The list is long with details.  People who stepped forward to assist, encourage, smile.

Please find Rustling Wrens for sale on AMAZON.

Or, contact me by email to schedule a reading in Seattle/King County.

from the Poetry Garden at Seattle Center

Last Wednesday afternoon, August 15, I had the delightful opportunity to read my poetry with poet Michael Dylan Welch as we read our poems together in the shade of the Seattle Center Poetry Garden.

Our poetry reading was one of a series of "Unexpected Art" sponsored by Jack Straw Productions in partnership with the Seattle Center.  Part of the fifty year celebration of the opening of the Seattle World's Fair, "Unexpected Art" intends to surprise as visitors stroll the grounds enjoying summer and fall.
